Yes youre right. But I guess thats the intention of a new OS. The CD-tray "paper"-source has been already implemented, but I cant find an program that "sees" this funktion....

I am running a Canon IP6000D and all is well. The really amazing thing for me is that I have an Olympus Camedia P-400 printer using dye-sublimation and it actually installed and running flawlessly. Now THAT was a pleasant surprise. I was never able to run it flawlessly on XP. Connie

What's this to do with Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't write the drivers. That's up to the hardware manufacturers to write proper drivers that work with Vista. You need to bug Canon not MS.

But written by dipsticks, it takes 100% CPU, so the PC goes into rigor mortis mode, which is definately not acting periodically in the background. More like it is acting in the foreground. Surely any competent programmer, and MS don't seem to have any, would program in around 30% CPU max.

I'm guessing that Vista's target market is tech heads who have nothing better to do than work on maintaining their OS, which could explain why so few people are actually using Vista.
If you want an OS that justs works stay the hell away from Vista.

Windows Vista
